We are a community-based nonprofit serving the Sunset Hill (West Ballard) neighborhood in Seattle. Our historic 1920s Community Hall is a popular venue for the arts: theater; dance; music and more. The Community Hall hosts private events and classes year-round. Our renters include yoga classes; dance classes; orchestra rehearsals; choirs; free-form dance; waltz; children’s ballet and early childhood music and movement. Events and activities at the clubhouse are featured in our neighborhood association calendar with more details on our News & Events page.
Become a member of SHCA. We welcome your interest, enthusiasm, and presence. Membership is open to all and gives you a discount on certain events and a personal stake in the future of our historic clubhouse.
Join the SHCA Board. Hello and consider joining the Sunset Hill Community Association Board of Directors. Since way back in 1922 we have had a Board made out of neighbors just like you that enjoy helping out with our really fun events and our interesting management discussions. The SHCA board is a nice way to expand your friendships, advocate for a cause, learn about business, and get a lot of thank you’s over and over from your neighbors!
Volunteer! We are entirely run by neighborhood volunteers, and we can always use a little more help. Send us an email if you are interested in helping run events at the clubhouse, or if you think you might have some skills that would be helpful. We are a community organization, and rely on our community for support.
As a 501(c)4, donations to Sunset Hill Community Association are not tax deductible.
